Don't shop these guys. This place does have nice features for a store, but don't let that fool you this place is a museum for a reason. I'm an old school gamer out for the obscure older things, that being said some times I look at things they don't have priced yet (being completely aware of what I could buy the item for on amazon or ebay in a heart beat with shipping) and they will literally insult my time and intelligence by making me stand there a couple of minutes while they look up the items "worth" on ebay. Don't get me wrong ebay is a nice site, but there are a lot of people posting things at prices no one will ever buy for, fishing for a dummy. Then while I wait for this ebay scanning to get under way, a guy will trade in an old item I know is about $60 on any ebay given day that no one would pay for it and they would charge it in a heart beat. So, of course they buy it for $5 and immediately price it at $60 to sit there for years on end. What happened to good business? That's 1100% profit, why not sell more items for cheaper than ebay and make a profit. Lawrence business used to be more about the people, now it's just greed. Stick to ebay. It's well worth the wait. Two stars, both for atmosphere and asthetic. Not a customer favored business.

DON'T GO TO GAMENUT! Especially the one on Iowa. I called looking for a few specific games and was given prices on them. I went to gamenut on Iowa (we'll call it gamenut a ) looking at 4 games: resistance 1 and 2 , killzone 2, and unreal tournament. Gamenut a had them all, prices were higher than I was quoted and I told them. They said I was mistaken. rat this store resistance 1 and 2 were 20 a piece, killzone was 20, unreal was 10. I called the main store on mass and told them of the discrepancy, and was told to bring them in, and I would be refunded the extra $. After I went in, I checked this stores prices on all of the same games (this store is gamenut b). After looking at the games on the shelf I was shocked: resistance 1 and 2 were both marked at 15, killzone2 was marked at 13, and only unreal had the same price at 10. That's 15 more for the same games, at the same company, just a different store. I was told I could get a store credit for the difference in the price of killzone 2, which could only be spent off their store. I pointed out that I paid 5 more for the same resistance 2 game I just purchased, and was told that the 15$ price was mismarked, and 20 was the right price. I them told him that resistance 1 was 5 more for the same game at gamenut a also. He didn't bother looking up the price in the computer, he said " well that's what were trying to work out). Bottom line, I paid 15 more at gamenut a, for the EXACT SAME USED GAMES I could have gotten for 15 less at gamenut b. 15$ is a whole extra game for nothing. The one mistake they were able to correct, I got store credit on, which they profit from. This is a poorly run business, and even when you point out that they made a mistake, and their obvious major discrepancies , they will do little to make it right. I do my best to support local, small businesses, because I think its important, GAMENUT HAS MADE ME A GAMESTOP CUSTOMER FOR LIFE, AND I ENCOURAGE ANYONE READING THIS TO AVOID MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. DON'T BE A GAMENUT CUSTOMER, THAT WAS MY MISTAKE.

I want to apologize for the issue you had. We are learning as we go and have new issues to resolve now that we have opened a second store. Our software is currently being worked on so both stores will consistently have the same prices. If you will come back in I would like the opportunity to resolve the issue you had and teach my staff how better to handle this until our software has been updated to catch those mistakes.
I appreciate your business and your choice to shop local. If you come back we will make it right.

Hey, lover of mankind,
So you went to a video game store, saw some games that you thought were not priced right, bought them without pointing this out to the store and then preceeded to go to the other store to complain. You could have just told the first employee and gotten any discrepencies cleared up imm. Gamestop employee????? I love Game Nut. Always find games at great prices. Love to play the games upstairs at (store b). Great place.

I want to say that I frequent Game Nutt and have always had a great experience. Staff has always proactively helped me and has always been very knowledgeable and accommodating. I've never had any problems, and the pricing has always seemed quite fair.

I absolutely love this store! They have the best selection, the best prices, and the best quality. I’ve been going here for years and I used to recommend it to everyone. Sadly, one employee has pretty much ruined Game Nut for me. The last few times I was there she was very rude and disrespectful to me and to other customers. She is also blatantly ignorant about the products she is trying to sell. Unfortunately, I won't be going back until this offensive person is gone.

Great time on Saturday! Game Nut celebrated its 5th birthday party by giving away $5,000 worth of stuff in drawings and prizes. Like Nintendo Wiis, ipods, xboxes, plus they served cake in the gaming loft (which is awesome by the way, you can pretty much play any game on any system ever while lounging in a great big massage chair.) I saw a grandfather playing an old Atari 2600 version of Donkey Kong on a giant high-definition screen. And I can't forget to mention the cupcakes done in the style of pac-man, power-pellet maze and all.

If you're downtown, you can't miss their window displays. Unveiled on Saturday, 'Rampage' - imagine king kong and godzilla duking it out in in the great big city. Insanely awesome!

This is the best game store I've ever been to. Every game system or game known to man. To buy, or play in the arcade upstairs that rents by the hour.
