Lawrence hip-hop artist accused of raping 18-year-old woman

A Lawrence hip-hop artist has been charged in Douglas County District Court with raping an 18-year-old woman.
The man, Miquel L. Brown, 32, is charged with one felony count of rape of someone overcome by fear and one count of aggravated sodomy, according to charging documents. The incident is alleged to have happened on Oct. 27.
Brown was arrested in connection with the charges on Dec. 13 and is being held on a $150,000 bond. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 2, 2025, when his attorney, Gary West, will ask the court to modify Brown’s bond.
According to Brown’s social media accounts, he performs under the name “Queue Mogul” as part of a local hip-hop collective called The Under Rated Society.
