Some people travel the world for adventure. Janis Ruksans travels the world for bulbs, but he’s ended up with plenty of the former.

The Latvian nurseryman recounts his trips to remote areas of Europe and Asia in “Buried Treasures: Finding and Growing the World’s Choicest Bulbs.” The book is part travelogue, part bulb-growing guide, and it’s illustrated with photos of his travels.
