Private K.C. gardens to open for public tour

Kansas City’s premier garden tour returns May 19-20. The biennial event is the public’s opportunity to tour some of the most beautiful private gardens in Johnson County.

This year’s tour features six gardens, all designed and maintained by private owners who are Master Gardeners through Johnson County K-State Research & Extension. It is also the sole fundraiser for the Johnson County Extension Master Gardener program. All proceeds from the tour fund the program for two years.

In 2005, 245 Extension Master Gardeners volunteered 27,909 hours to the Johnson County community.
