City of Lawrence finance director to take position in Missouri

City of Lawrence Finance Director Bryan Kidney will be leaving his post.
Following a nationwide search, the city of Independence, Mo., decided to hire Kidney as the new director of finance and administration, according to an announcement on its website.
The city of Lawrence hired Kidney in 2015.
Kidney’s last day with the city of Lawrence will be Sept. 5, according to city spokesman Porter Arneill. Arneill said Lawrence’s search for a new finance director would begin soon.
