Friends of the Lawrence Public Library to host spring sale
The Friends of the Lawrence Public Library has more than 40,000 books, movies, albums and more to sell at its Spring Book Sale Thursday through Sunday, group chairman Stan Ring said.
“We’ve got everything,” he said. “You wouldn’t believe the stuff that comes through our donation boxes.”
The friends organization gathers donations all year, Ring said. Several times a year the organization sorts, catalogues and sells those donations.
Everything for sale is $2 or less, Ring said. All the money raised will go back to the library.
So far this year, the group has donated more than $48,000 to the library, Ring said.
