Rough night for ‘Svi’
KANSAS 75, GEORGETOWN 70
Washington, D.C. ? Kansas University freshman Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk started in the Jayhawks’ 75-70 road win against Georgetown, but played just five minutes and didn’t score.
“He wasn’t aggressive, didn’t play very well. I put him back in and he threw the ball right to them. It’s nothing negative. I guess that’s what happens when you are playing a 17-year-old kid that should be a high school junior,” KU coach Bill Self said. “To me he’s as good an NBA prospect as we have. If you are going to grade him out at age 21, he’s going to grade out pretty high. I didn’t think tonight was going to be his night so that’s why we didn’t play him.”
