Journal-World takes prizes at K.C. Press Club awards

The Kansas City Press Club, a chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, hosted the 2012 Heart of America Awards Saturday in Kansas City, Mo.

The Lawrence Journal-World received first-, second- and third-place finishes in multiple categories.

First Place

There are some very good articles and writers here.

But I also want to commend all the writers who didn't get selected, but who are doing a great job with their work!
