The De Soto Arts Council is hosting the third annual Sunflower Artfest next weekend, July 13-15, at The Barn at Kill Creek Farm, 9200 Kill Creek Road, De Soto.
The Artfest will include an Sunflower Art Exhibit, featuring portrayals of sunflowers in different media, as well as an art show, which will include more than 20 artists with booths showing paintings, photography, ceramics, jewelry and more.
Food and sunflowers will be available to purchase. Guests picking their own sunflowers will have the option to pick from nine varieties. The festival will have a children’s craft area as well as live music every day.
The Sunflower Artfest 2012 is open 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m..
The event is free, but donations will be accepted to assist in rebuilding The Barn at Kill Creek Farm, which was destroyed in 2010 by a tornado.
