Amber Alert cancelled as missing Georgia boys found safe in Austin, Texas

An Amber Alert for two boys abducted in Georgia has been cancelled Saturday night, after they were found safe in Austin, Texas.

Ben Cleary, 9, and Henry Cleary 7, had been missing since Dec. 23 when they were last seen at their home in Roswell, Ga. According to police, they were taken by their father, Daniel Cleary, and reported abducted with an Amber Alert. When Daniel Cleary was arrested Saturday night the boys were reported to be in safe condition and the Amber Alert was cancelled.

For a time, Interstate Highway 70 through Kansas was thought to be one possible route for Daniel Cleary to take the group to stay with relatives in Nevada, according to Lt. James McGee, a spokesman for the Roswell Police Department.

Witnesses had reported seeing the three in western Tennessee recently and in St. Louis Friday, but Lt. James McGee, a spokesman for the Roswell Police Department, said no sighting since Dec. 23 had been confirmed until Cleary’s arrest Saturday.
