A 22-year-old Jefferson County woman pleaded not guilty Thursday to several charges related to injuring a 2-year-old Oskaloosa girl in July, said Jefferson County Attorney Jason Belveal.
Lori A. Courter is scheduled to stand trial March 12 on the charges of aggravated battery with intent to do great bodily harm, child abuse and child endangerment.
Courter was arrested after the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office received a report of possible child abuse in Oskaloosa.
The child, who is the daughter of Courter's fiance, was hospitalized following the incident.

I'm seriously hoping that if she is convicted/guilty that her status will change from fiance to former fiance...

I think they ought to pass stone throwing here in the U.S. Dig a hole put the child abuser in the ground, burrier him or her up to here neck and let little kids throw stones at them. Adults who abuse defenseless youths deserve the same treatment back to them.

She put a defenseless baby in scalding water. Looks like we're looking at a plea bargain. It's Jefferson County. She will do jail time.
