A former manager of a rural Tonganoxie trailer park on Thursday afternoon pleaded no contest to five child sex crime charges, Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson said.

Prosecutors accused Lawrence McDonagh II of molesting four victims, between ages 10 and 15, between November 2009 to May 2012 inside his trailer. Sheriff’s officials said in May they arrested McDonagh after serving a search warrant at the Paradise Mobile Home Park south of Tonganoxie. McDonagh was then charged with using a concealed camera to record three children while they were nude under circumstances in which the children had a reasonable expectation of privacy.

During the investigation, prosecutors filed 11 more severe sex-crime charges against McDonagh.

McDonagh entered no-contest pleas to five counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. He remains in Leavenworth County Jail, Thompson said.

A judge is scheduled to sentence him Sept. 27. He faces 25 years to life in prison on four of the counts, and the fifth count predates Jessica’s Law, so his sentence would be determined by his criminal history, Thompson said.
