What is going on with the Kansas prison system. Did they take the day off? I mean 4 people in Kansas have escaped from prison just today. Get it together!

Why was this guy in a minimum security facility when he had previously escaped for five years? That, and being a violent predator, should have earned him a spot in maximum security for all the rest of his days.

did he escape from the plant or from lansing? Where was he found in 1993? Where was he hiding for those 5 years. His mug shot shows more grey hair (at least facial) instead of brown but of course if smart he will color his hair right off. A lot of easy detail questions are missed.

Convicted on a 6-25 year sentence in 1985.
2012-1985 = 27
Why the extra time?

He was on escape status from May 18, 1988 through February 22, 1993. Days on escape are "Delinquent Time Lost on Escape" [DTLOE] and do not count toward the sentence.
He also lost several days in 2005 when he absconded parole, and went out of state.
