Police say the death of a 58-year-old southwest Topeka woman is the city’s ninth homicide of the year.

Sheila Hachmeister was found dead at her home Saturday evening when officers responded to a medical call from a family member living at the house.

Police wouldn’t say how Hachmeister was killed or provide any information about a possible homicide.
