Notre Dame professor to talk about separation of church and state

Vincent Phillip Muñoz, an associate professor of religion and public life at the University of Notre Dame, will speak Oct. 3 on the Kansas University campus.

Muñoz will look at issues ranging from if “under God” in the pledge of allegiance is unconstitutional to the founding father’s thoughts on the relationship between church and state.

The talk will take place in Alderson Auditorium in the Kansas Union. The talk is free to the public, and is part of the University of Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Lecture Series and is co-sponsored by St. Lawrence Institute for Faith and Culture and the Notre Dame Club of Topeka.
