Emporia St. announces 3rd presidential finalist

? Emporia State University has announced the third of four finalists for the presidency.

The university said Thursday that Karla Rhodes will spend two days in Emporia visit next week, visiting with campus and community groups.

Rhodes is a Kansas native who has been at Morehead State University in Kentucky since 2007, serving as provost, vice president for academic affairs and tenured professor. She has also worked at East Carolina University and Middle Tennessee State, and holds two degrees in food and nutrition from Kansas State.

Emporia State is announcing the finalists as their visits are scheduled. The campus has already had visits from Todd Diacon, deputy vice chancellor at the University of Massachusetts, and Michael Shonrock, a senior vice president at Texas Tech.
