Johnson County officials plan sobriety checkpoint early Saturday morning

Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies, with law enforcement agents from other agencies, will conduct at sobriety checkpoint this weekend, the sheriff’s office announced Wednesday.

The checkpoint is planned for the early morning hours of Saturday in western Johnson County.

The exact location is not disclosed in advance.

Deputies will administer sobriety tests to drivers suspected of being intoxicated and arrest those who are impaired.

Efforts will be made to avoid severely interrupting traffic flow, the sheriff’s office said.
