Woman enters plea agreement to testify against co-defendants in Topeka homicide case

? A Topeka woman will testify against two co-defendants in a shooting death, after pleading guilty to a less serious homicide charge.

Twenty-year-old Ebony Cherrell Clark pleaded guilty Friday to involuntary manslaughter and aggravated battery in the death of Vincent G. Lambert Jr. Clark had originally been charged with first-degree murder and three other counts.

In return for the plea, Clark agreed to testify against Eddie Anthony Gordon Sr. and Ira Montez Gordon Jr., who are both charged with felony first-degree murder.

Police say Lambert was killed during a gunfight between four men, two on each side of a bathroom door of a home in north Topeka.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that Clark will be sentenced May 24.
