Wilson — The Kansas Highway Patrol says three people died in a collision on Interstate 70 caused by a driver going the wrong way.
The patrol says the accident occurred early Wednesday about five miles east of Wilson in Ellsworth County in west-central Kansas. The patrol says a pickup truck traveling west in the eastbound lanes of the interstate collided head-on with another vehicle.
The patrol says 20-year-old Kylie Jobe and 22-year-old Kyle Thornburg, both of Wichita, were in the eastbound car.
The driver of the pickup, 27-year-old Joseph Pena of Corpus Christi, Texas, also was killed.
