March 21, 2011

— The Salina campus of Kansas State University is offering its first master's degree program.

The Kansas Board of Regents on Thursday approved the professional master of technology degree.

Dennis Kuhlman, dean of the Kansas State-Salina, says in a news release Monday that the program is one of the first master of technology degrees offered in Kansas.

It will teach skills in communication, leadership, project management and teamwork. Students in the program will work with graduate faculty to develop individual plans of study in such areas as aviation, engineering technology and technology management.
