Rural Kansas leaders head to Vietnam for agricultural tour

? Several Kansas rural leaders are headed to Vietnam this week.

Christy Hopkins, director of Greeley County Community Development, and 27 other Kansans leave Wednesday for Vietnam. They’re participating in the Kansas Agricultural Leadership Class X international tour. The trip is expected to highlight how the global economy affects Kansas’ agricultural industries.

The tour stops at a rubber plantation, a poultry farm, and at the site of the My Lai Massacre during the Vietnam War.

The Hutchinson News reports that KARL members will also meet with the foreign agriculture service leaders during the trip.
