Arkansas City ? A 23-year-old Arkansas City man is charged with second-degree murder and driving under the influence after a traffic accident that killed a passenger in his car.

The Arkansas City Traveler reports that Kyndal G. Orange was also charged Monday with violating a protective order and driving without a valid license.

Twenty-six-year-old TiOnna Rachelle Bruno of Arkansas City died in the accident early Saturday. Police say Orange lost control of his car on U.S. 77 near Arkansas City. The car left the road, rolled and burst into flames, ejecting Orange and Bruno. She died at the scene; Orange suffered minor injuries.

Bond was set at $50,000 for Orange. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 16.
