Wichita revokes license of inflatables company

? A Wichita company that operates inflatable rides will not get its license renewed.

The Wichita City Council voted Tuesday to uphold its decision to revoke the license of Moonwalks for Fun.

The company owns equipment operated by Pure Entertainment, where a 5-year-old boy died after falling from an inflatable ride in March 2010.

The company’s license was suspended for 90 days after the accident. The Wichita Eagle reports that the city revoked the license in April after learning the company didn’t have insurance for about six months.

Moonwalks owner Duane Zogleman said after the council’s vote that he was surprised the city wanted to drive him out of business. But he says most of company’s business comes from outside Wichita and won’t be affected by the decision.
