Hutchinson ? Police are investigating the suspected killing of a 27-year-old woman who was found shot to death at her northwest Hutchinson home.

Police say Jennifer R. Heckel was at home with her 5-year-old son when the shooting occurred Tuesday evening. Neighbors told The Hutchinson News that Heckel’s husband, Brian, was working out of town at the time of the shooting.

Hutchison Police Capt. Troy Hoover says nothing appeared to have been stolen from the home. No weapon has been found and no arrests have been made.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is helping with the investigation.
