Wichita U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom has appointed his chief of the criminal division in Kansas.
Grissom announced Monday that Assistant U.S. Attorney Jared Magg will oversee all federal criminal cases filed in Wichita, Topeka and Kansas City, Kan. He will serve as the contact for state and local law enforcement agencies on cases seeking federal prosecution.
The Topeka lawyer joined the U.S. attorney's office in 2004 as a special assistant U.S. attorney while working as a prosecutor for the Kansas attorney general's office. He later joined the U.S. attorney's office full time in 2009. Magg is also staff judge advocate for the Kansas Air National Guard's 190th Air Refueling Wing in Topeka.
