Topeka A commission studying the Kansas court system plans to wrap up its public hearings in Topeka next week.
The Blue Ribbon Commission plans a hearing at 7 p.m. Monday at Washburn University's law school for the public to offer suggestions for improving court operations. Local officials also will meet with commission members in the afternoon.
It will be the last of 19 hearings across the state held by the 25-member commission.
The commission was created by the Kansas Supreme Court to consider issues such as using technology to reduce costs and increasing the court system's flexibility in using staff.
The commission previously had a hearing in Topeka on May 17.
