30 people join lawsuit against Creekstone Farms

? Thirty former and current workers at Creekstone Farms have joined a federal lawsuit claiming that the company owes them unpaid wages and overtime.

The Winfield Daily Courier reports Friday that the attorneys who filed the lawsuit in April expect more workers to eventually join the case.

The workers allege that Creekstone violated federal and state laws by not paying its workers when the production line shuts down during their shifts. They also claim employees were not paid for the time it takes to dress and assemble before production starts.

The workers are seeking an unspecified amount for uncompensated services and time, as well as their legal costs.

In May, the company denied all the allegations.
