Topeka — Gov. Sam Brownback has named Terry L. Maple acting state fire marshal.
Brownback said in a statement Thursday that Maple was most recently the superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Maple replaces Doug Jorgensen, who earlier Thursday was named director of Alcoholic Beverage Control in the state Department of Revenue.
