Wichita men plead guilty to robbing Catholic credit union
Wichita ? Two Wichita men who were arrested after their getaway car ran a red light in front of a police car have pleaded guilty to robbing a credit union.
U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said that 21-year-old Deshane Gantt and 20-year-old Christopher Crabtree, both of Wichita, pleaded guilty Monday in the Nov. 8, 2010, robbery at Catholic Family Federal Credit Union.
Grissom said in a news release that Gantt robbed the credit union and Crabtree was his driver. While they were driving away, they saw a Wichita police patrol car. Grissom says Crabtree was so intent on watching the police car that he ran a stop sign.
Police found the money from the robbery in the car after it was stopped.
Both men are to be sentenced April 11.
