Pittsburg State University Career Clothes Closet helps students dress the part for interviews

? Finding the right thing to wear to an interview is getting easier for Pittsburg State University students.

They’ll soon be able to look in the school’s Career Clothes Closet.

The university says the idea was born a few years ago when staff members in Career Services noticed that students were showing up for interviews dressed in casual clothes. The staff began keeping a few extra sport coats on hand to polish the appearance of the job seekers.

Now, Pittsburg State is taking the effort a step further.

The Career Clothes Closet will open with a brief celebration on Feb. 8. The staff hopes to have students well-dressed in time for the Spring Career Day on Feb. 17.

Pittsburg State also is accepting donations of business attire for the new resource.
