Topeka police officer shoots, kills man after traffic stop
Topeka ? A Topeka man who was shot by police after a traffic stop has died.
Topeka police Capt. Jerry Stanley says the man got out of his truck waving a firearm when three officers stopped him early Thursday. He says the man refused orders to drop the weapon and made a threatening move, prompting officers to shoot him.
The man’s name has not been released pending notification of relatives.
