Chicago ? Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA Inc. said Tuesday it has acquired JFK Consulting Group LLC, an employee benefits brokerage and consulting company based in Overland Park, Kan.

Terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition closed Nov. 29.

Wells Fargo Insurance is the insurance brokerage division of Wells Fargo & Co., the San Francisco-based bank.

JFK Consulting provides employee benefit brokerage and consulting services to small- and mid-market insured plans, large self-funded corporate plans, public sector employers and associations primarily in Kansas and Missouri.

For Wells Fargo Insurance, the addition helps strengthen the company’s presence in Kansas, said Kevin Kenny, an executive vice president.

Shares of Wells Fargo & Co. rose 10 cents to $31.31 in morning trading.
