Jeffrey Brown, a 28-year-old Lawrence man injured in a Feb. 5 accident near 23rd and Iowa streets, was listed in stable condition Tuesday at a Kansas City area hospital, said Sgt. Matt Sarna, a Lawrence police spokesman. Sarna said police are still investigating circumstances surrounding the accident when Brown was trying to cross 23rd Street from north to south and was struck by two vehicles east of the Iowa Street intersection.
