Dodge City ends agreement with Global Entertainment Corp.
Dodge City ? Ford County and Dodge City have ended Global Entertainment Corp.’s management responsibilities at United Wireless Arena.
Global announced in November that it was leaving venue management as a business. Management of the United Wireless Arena and the Civic Center was turned over to VenuWorks, a company based in Ames, Iowa.
Since then, Global, VenuWorks, the city and the county have hammered out a transition agreement.
The Dodge City Daily Globe reports that the termination of Global’s services Monday was a final step in that transition.
