— A federal judge has refused to dismiss the government’s lawsuit against an abortion opponent accused of sending a threatening letter to a Wichita doctor training to offer abortion services.

U.S. District Judge J. Thomas Marten ruled Wednesday that a jury must decide whether Angel Dillard’s letter to Dr. Mila Means is protected speech or a true threat.

The Justice Department filed the civil lawsuit against Dillard under a law aimed at protecting access to abortion services. Dillard had moved for dismissal.

The Valley Center woman wrote to Means in January saying the doctor would have to check under her car every day because someone might place an explosive under it.

The cultural revolution of the extreme right continues. I don't understand how someone can claim to be prolife while simultaneously threatening to kill an actual living breathing person. That is not a "culture of life" as proposed by our governor.

The same way the left says this is a free country but does not let 84 0/0 of the country show their faith in god in public.

Not true! Actually, the prohibition applies only to government property. You can have as many crosses as you want on your yard and even hold services there if you wish.

So - does showing "faith" include condoning murder of a living human being?

What the heck are you blabbering about? People on the left are too busy having fun to care what mythological figures you pray to. The problem with fundamentalists is they are like smokers believing it is their right to blow smoke in your face and then flick their butts on the ground. Remember, the earth isn't flat...the sun doesn't revolve around the earth...if you don't believe in evolution you won't ever need a flu shot.

I'm sorry but that's not "free speech." That's a threat.

Lock her up.
