2 men held in string of Wichita robberies

? Police in Wichita have arrested two men suspected of committing nine armed robberies in six days, hitting one of the stores twice.

The pair, ages 47 and 38, were arrested Monday night. They remained jailed Tuesday awaiting official charges expected later this week.

Police say a shop called the Donut Hole was robbed twice in the spree that began March 30. Police Lt. Doug Nolte says one suspect walked in Monday night and told the clerk he was sorry to have to rob the place again.

KAKE-TV reports other targets included a taco restaurant, a video store, a Walgreen’s and a couple of convenience stores.
