HOLTON ? A northeast Kansas high-schooler faces charges after a teacher found lewd photos on his school-issued laptop.

The 17-year-old boy was charged last week with disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and sexual exploitation of a child.

At issue are photos that appear to be of two teenage girls.

Holton school district superintendent Nancy Meyer says the student became violent when he was approached about the pictures.

A pretrial hearing in the case is scheduled for Oct. 7.
