The U.S. Marine Corps is turning 235 years old and is celebrating Nov. 10 at the Dole Institute of Politics on Kansas University’s West Campus.
Marines, veterans and friends are invited to the event, which begins at 10:30 a.m. and will feature a talk by retired Navy Capt. John W. Newsom. Newsom, a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
