Barton County judge postones hearing in Great Bend teen’s death

Adam Longoria, 36, is charged with capital murder and criminal sodomy in the August killing of 14-year-old Alicia DeBolt in Great Bend.

? A hearing for a central Kansas man accused of killing a 14-year-old girl was postponed after one of his attorneys became ill.

Barton County District Judge Hannelore Kitts had been scheduled to hear arguments Thursday on several motions in the case of Adam Joseph Longoria.

The Great Bend man is charged with capital murder and criminal sodomy in the August killing of 14-year-old Alicia DeBolt. Her body was found burned beyond recognition near a Great Bend asphalt company where Longoria had worked.

Longoria is challenging the constitutionality of a Kansas statute that restricts disclosure of certain discovery materials to the defendant.
