Riley County police don’t suspect foul play in death of K-State student found in ditch

? Police investigating the death of a Kansas State University student now say they don’t suspect foul play in the man’s injuries.

Twenty-five-year-old Bradley Murray of Manhattan was found in a ditch near campus early on the morning of Oct. 8 with head injuries that suggested a beating. He was taken off life support and died Tuesday at a hospital.

Riley County police said Thursday an autopsy linked the death to the head injury and bleeding on the brain, with alcohol as a contributing factor.

Investigators learned Murray was last seen outside an Aggieville bar less than an hour before two men found him several blocks away.

Police say Murray never mentioned being assaulted. The coroner concluded the injuries could have resulted from a fall.
