K-State student taken off life support after being found in ditch

Bradley Murray, 25, was taken off life support on Tuesday, Oct. 12 after being found with head wounds in a ditch in Manhattan, Kan.

A K-State student who was found in a ditch on October 8 was taken off life support Tuesday evening.

Bradley Murray, 25, was found in a ditch on the side of the road in the 1700 block of North Manhattan on Friday morning. Murray had been hit on the left side of his head near his eye and had severe head trauma.

Police said Murray was intoxicated, but conscious at the time a military medic found him. He eventually lost consciousness again and was taken to a local hospital.

Riley County investigators are looking for two men who appeared to be assisting Murray when he was found. Both are white men, one with unkempt long blond hair, wearing a purple shirt. The other man was wearing a plaid shirt.

Police said the case remains classified as an aggravated battery pending the results of the autopsy.
