The Kansas law license of former Attorney General Phill Kline has been suspended for the fourth time.

State attorney registration records show that Kline’s license was suspended Oct. 18 after he did not pay his attorney registration fee.

Sally Brown, administrator of attorney registration at the Kansas Judicial Center, told The Topeka Capital-Journal Monday that Kline was one of 220 attorneys whose licenses were suspended Oct. 18.

Kline currently is teaching law at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

The Kansas disciplinary administrator’s office has scheduled a hearing in February to hear arguments that Kline violated the Kansas Rules of Professional Conduct during his investigation of two abortion providers when he was attorney general.

Kline did not return a phone call or e-mail request for comment Tuesday from The Associated Press.
