Amazon.com seeks 900 more temporary holiday workers in Coffeyville

? Amazon.com Inc. announced Friday that it is seeking to hire people for more than 900 temporary positions at its Coffeyville, Kan., shipping center as holiday sales ramp up.

Available positions include full-time and part-time roles in picking, packing and receiving and shipping. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to stand, walk and lift throughout the day are required. New hires will also have to pass a background check.

On Tuesday, the Seattle company announced it was seeking temporary workers in similar centers in Las Vegas, Lexington, Ky. and Campbellsville, Ky.

Shares of Amazon.com rose $1.82 to $170.75 in morning trading Friday.
