Dean of Ottawa University’s new business school begins work

Ottawa University has hired Charles Williams as its dean of the university’s new School of Business.

He comes to the university from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas, where he served as dean of the Fred Hale School of Business and professor of management. Williams has also worked for Louisiana-based Brown and Root as an engineer, and as a field engineer with Hewlett Packard in New Orleans.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Williams to this key role at our University,” said OU President Kevin Eichner in a release. “We are confident that his extraordinary combination of academic depth and breadth and his considerable practical business world experience make him an unusually fine candidate to lead our new School of Business at Ottawa University.”

He began in his new role last week.
