Topeka ? The Kansas House has adopted a resolution decrying what it describes as the federal government’s violations of the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The vote Monday was 109-11.

The 10th Amendment says powers not specifically given to the federal government are reserved for the states.

The resolution says many federal laws may violate the 10th Amendment. It would go to the president and congressional leaders.

The resolution says Congress should pass no more laws that threaten states with sanctions or a loss of federal funds if they refuse to take certain actions. It says existing laws should be repealed.

The Senate adopted the resolution last month but will have to consider changes in its wording made by the House.
