Topeka A new television ad is in the works from a group aiming to raise public awareness of gambling addictions.
The Kansas Responsible Gambling Alliance scheduled a Statehouse news conference Wednesday to publicize its first public service announcement and its Web site.
The event coincides with National Problem Gambling Awareness Week.
The alliance includes the Kansas Lottery and other state agencies, as well as counselors treating gambling addicts and the Boot Hill casino in Dodge City, which opened in December.
