Regents plan special meeting in light of Robinson’s departure

? The Kansas Board of Regents will hold a special meeting Friday to discuss a possible replacement for Reginald Robinson, the president and chief executive officer of the regents.

Robinson announced last month that he was stepping down to become a law professor and director of the Center for Law and Government at Washburn University.

The regents will meet at 9 a.m. Friday “to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel and an application for employment,” the meeting notice said. It also said the regents will recess into a closed-door meeting.
