LOUISBURG Police in a northeast Kansas town say the fatal shootings of a husband and wife were a murder-suicide.
The shootings in the Kansas City suburb of Louisburg occurred around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, just moments after a babysitter was summoned to take two young children from the home.
Police Chief Ron Anderson says the sitter had received a text message saying the sender didn’t want the children to see what was going on. Two shots rang out as the sitter and the children were walking away from the house.
Police identified the couple as 27-year-old Timothy Lomax and 26-year-old Danielle Lomax.
