Driver fleeing police dies in head-on crash
Wichita ? Officials say a fleeing driver crashed his truck into a sport utility vehicle and died.
Capt. Troy Livingston of the Wichita Police Department told The Wichita Eagle it all started around noon Saturday when officers were called to a domestic-violence situation.
While en route, an officer spotted a truck that matched the description of the one the suspect was driving.
The truck sped up and within less than a minute had crashed head-on into an SUV.
Livingston says officer believe the crash was intentional. The 24-year-old driver of the truck was dead at the scene. Two women in the SUV were hospitalized after the wreck with serious injuries.
