A.G. Six opens campaign for re-election

? Attorney General Steve Six will hit the campaign trail this week to announce his candidacy.

Six, a Democrat, will hold events on Thursday in Overland Park, Topeka, Wichita and Pittsburg, and then head to Garden City on Friday.

Six is a former Douglas County district judge who was appointed attorney general in 2008 by then-Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to replace Paul Morrison, who resigned because of a scandal over an extramarital affair.
